Gigi Hadid Gave Fans a Closer Look at Her Pregnancy

For the very first time during her pregnancy, Gigi Hadid gave her followers a peek at her bare stomach. During an Instagram Live broadcast where she talked about her latest project, Gigi Journal Part II, a special publication done in collaboration with V Magazine, Hadid took fan questions and even stood up to let viewers see her stomach when they asked her about how she was putting outfits together.

"[With] pregnancy, all I want to wear is loose stuff. Everyone's like, 'Oh, you didn't look pregnant in your jumpsuit on your last live.' That's because, this way, this is how I'm normally going to look in this. The reason I said it was a different story is like…" she said before she unbuttoned her shirt. She went on to say that depending on the angles, her body looks different on camera.

"There's my belly y'all. Like, it's there," she said. "From the front it's different."

In even better news for fans that want to keep up with Hadid's pregnancy news, she said that she's been documenting everything and will release the footage when she's ready — though there's no indication on whether it'll be on Instagram or if she's planning a full-on Kardashian-style docuseries.

"I love you all and I really appreciate your positive messages. I'm just taking my time with sharing my pregnancy and you guys will see it when you see it," she said. "I'm trying to document it well because I've heard a lot of people say obviously make sure you don't miss it and I will be sharing stuff like that in the future. I'm not in a rush to do it and I feel right now I just want to experience it and I don’t want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and worry about having to look cute or post something."

She also admitted that part of why she's been keeping things private has to do with the world we're living in right now. She told viewers that it didn't seem right to be posting updates while everyone is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and that she didn't want to take attention away from the Black Lives Matter movement.

"My pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world. People have lost lives during coronavirus and still happening," she said. "Then, we moved into the re-emergence of the BLM movement and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."
