What Ina Garten says, goes—which is why we're skipping a few backyard classics on Fourth of July this year. The Barefoot Contessa took to Instagram today to share her "special" menu for the holiday, and two cookout staples were noticeably absent from her list.

"I usually grill hot dogs and hamburgers for the 4th of July but this year, I’m going to make it a little more special," she wrote, before diving into the recipes she is planning for her patriotic celebration.

"First, I’m making Warm Lobster Rolls because they’re so delicious and really easy to assemble. I’ll serve them with classic coleslaw and potato salad but my versions are the best you’ve ever had—my fresh Vegetable Coleslaw and Julia Child’s favorite Potato Salad," she continued. "And for dessert? S’mores made with my Homemade Toasted Coconut Marshmallows. So good!! And because you always need something delicious to drink— Fresh Lemonade! (Yes, you can add vodka!)."

Garten even listed out the pages and cookbooks where each recipe can be found. For example, her homemade marshmallows are straight from Family Style, while she pulled the lobster rolls from Cook Like a Pro. And despite the switch-up, fans still praised Ina's selection, naturally. "Sounds like the perfect 4th menu! ❤️💙," one person wrote. "I want to be at Ina’s 4th!" another chimed in.

Hot dogs and hamburgers weren't the only thing missing from Garten's menu, though. There was another tried-and-true classic the cookbook author left off her list this year. That's right, Ina is apparently skipping her beloved Flag Cake, which Taylor Swift replicates for her own Fourth of July festivities nearly every year.

However, that doesn't mean you (and Tay) can't still whip up the patriotic pastry this year. In fact, Garten shared a quick cake decorating tutorial over Memorial Day just in case you need a refresher.

"Memorial Day is not just a day off from work; it’s a time to remember all the people that sacrificed their lives serving our country. Isn’t a flag cake a great way to honor them?" she wrote on Instagram. "It’s big and dramatic and you can give everyone a piece to take home!"
