If men are from Mars and women are from Venus then it's fairly safe to say that there are no grocery stores on Mars.

For quite some time now there's been lots of discourse on social media about whether or not men should be shoppers for grocery delivery apps like DoorDash and Instacart. One TikTok in particular is stirring up lots of drama after a woman who goes by the username @sammiellenclare suggested that grocery delivery apps give you the choice to choose between male or female shoppers.

Her stance on the matter came shortly after a male shopper completely dropped the ball (and the milk and the butter) on her grocery order.

"If you are not the CEO of DoorDash or Instacart, keep scrolling. This is not for you. I am begging you to make an update on your app where I can request a female shopper," she said.

The TikToker went on to explain that she purchased five items and only one of them was correct. Instead of a half-gallon of store-brand milk, her shopper picked up a quarter gallon of Tuscan milk. He also mixed up a Chopped Caesar Salad Kit and an Ultimate Caesar Salad Kit.

"You have to look slightly harder for the Chopped Caesar Salad Kit and a man would never. He would just pick the one he sees first," she says.

And to make matters worse, when the woman requested a refund for the Land O'Lakes Garlic and Herb Butter because it was unavailable, she received Land O'Lakes Canola Oil Butter instead.

In the end she received a full refund for her order, but she isn't the only one who's dealt with shoddy substitutions. The comments section is flooded with examples of bizarre (and equally hilarious) replacements made by male shoppers.

"A man substituted my ground beef for a watermelon and I’m still confused about it," read one comment.

"I ordered a baby bok choy and received a single Brussels sprout," another person added.

There are also examples of female shoppers going above and beyond when possible.

"I had a lady dasher who once asked if I wanted Parmesan because it was on sale and she thought it would go well with what else I had ordered," one user shared.

Would you be here for the ability to choose between male or female shoppers?
