Is This Kate Moss’s Coolest Collaboration Yet?

How does a clothing company like Equipment get a fashion icon like Kate Moss to start noticing it? Go through her boyfriend! “My boyfriend at the time had loads of their shirts, and I began borrowing them,” Moss says — and just like that, the quintessential supermodel’s love affair with the contemporary French brand began.

Now, Moss has designed her own capsule collection for Equipment, using her full creative liberty to Moss-ify those same silk shirts beloved by every fashion editor from New York to Paris.

And what location would be cool enough for this iconic supermodel to shoot a video for this campaign? Her own house in the English countryside, Cotswolds, of course. Giving the public a rare glimpse into her very secluded world with some of her friends, we get to see Moss with Susie Cave, the ex-model and actress who is married to cult musician and artist Nick Cave.

Legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards’s granddaughter, Ella Richards, is the woman who Moss picked to be in the campaign looking cool and moody in a collection that is only black, white, gray, and red.

The collection has David Bowie-inspired lightning bolt prints, as well as the KM signature in monogrammed embroidery and pieces that are pure Kate Moss — thin star-printed silk tie-neck shirts, tailored blazers, cropped sweaters, and military jackets, and the brand’s quintessential button-downs.

The Kate Moss for Equipment collection will become available on Thursday, June 2, exclusively on equipmentfr.com, in Equipment stores, and on Net-A-Porter.com through June 15. After that it will also become available at a multitude of retail partners worldwide.
