Jasmine Roth is now a mom of two daughters: Hazel Lynn Roth and Darla Rose Roth.

The HGTV star and her husband, Brett Roth, moved in together platonically nearly two decades ago. The couple’s relationship progressed from friendship to romance, with Jasmine and Brett getting married in 2013. They welcomed their first child together, daughter Hazel, in 2020, followed by the arrival of their second child, daughter Darla, in 2024.

Speaking to HGTV in August 2024, Jasmine shared that she and her husband were intentional about starting a family at the time they did. "Parenting is hard no matter when you do it," she said. "I feel confident and happy with our decision to wait."

Jasmine has had the opportunity over the last decade to navigate her career, marriage and now motherhood. She left her corporate job in 2012 to pursue contracting and home design as her full-time career. This pivot has served as an example for her children, with Jasmine pointing out her role in a predominantly male field.

"My daughter doesn't know anything different. She doesn't know most builders are men,” Jasmine explained. "Anyone can be in the homebuilding space. If you're a skilled, dedicated and hard worker, you'll find your way."

Here’s everything to know about Jasmine Roth’s kids: daughters Hazel and Darla.

Jasmine and Brett welcomed their first child together, daughter Hazel Lynn Roth, on April 21, 2020.

At the time, Jasmine reflected on giving birth at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, telling PEOPLE, “It’s a scary time to bring a child into the world when it feels like up is down and down is up, but as soon as we saw her precious face all the fear and anxiety melted away.”

Jasmine exclusively confirmed her pregnancy to PEOPLE in October 2019, sharing that “the word ‘excited’ just doesn’t properly serve the emotions, feelings and overall smile” that she had since she found out she was expecting.

In the weeks leading up to the birth of their daughter, she gave PEOPLE a glimpse into Hazel’s “whimsical” yet “functional” nursery in April 2020.

“The idea behind this nursery was to make a really special and safe room for baby girl Roth,” the mom-to-be explained. “We love having our family and friends over, and the thought of this room not being used by everyone wasn’t working for me.”

Despite being an only child for four years, Hazel was ready to embrace life with a sibling. After announcing that she and her husband were expecting their second child, Jasmine told PEOPLE in May 2024 that Hazel “can't wait to be a big sister.”

Jasmine, who has two siblings, opened up further to HGTV in August 2024 about Hazel’s excitement for her baby sister, explaining, "She walks up and kisses my belly, collects toys and snacks for her future sister and talks about her future sister."

“She loves babies right now and is counting down the days until she gets to meet our new little one,” Jasmine added.

In addition to being a newly minted big sister, Hazel had another milestone moment: her first day of Pre-K!

Jasmine marked the special occasion with an Instagram post in August 2024, sharing that her daughter had her first day of class and then helped with a work project after school.

Jasmine and Brett welcomed their second child together, daughter Darla Rose Roth, on Sept. 7, 2024.

The couple announced that they were expecting another child in May 2024. Two months later, in July 2024, Jasmine and Brett revealed the sex of their second child, sharing exclusively with PEOPLE that they were having a girl. At the time, they called it “a truly special moment for our little family."

After welcoming her first child, Jasmine opened up to Motherly in September 2024 about experiencing secondary infertility after she was told by doctors that she wasn’t “healthy enough” to get pregnant again.

An unrelated injury led Jasmine down a health-focused path where she learned of other conditions she was facing, including high genetic cholesterol, vitamin deficiencies, hormonal imbalances and more.

Jasmine ultimately met with a fertility specialist following her health journey, and within a few months on a diligent regimen, she and Brett were able to conceive.

“We waited a few weeks and sure enough, we had a positive pregnancy test! We were over the moon. But what we didn’t know was that I wasn’t in the clear just yet,” she told the outlet, revealing her doctor's strict guidelines to ensure the first trimester went well.

Despite the instructions, which included “extreme caution” as well as weekly ultrasounds and routine bloodwork every four days, Jasmine said that “it wasn’t all terrible.”

“My daughter cuddled in bed with me, my mother-in-law flew into town to take care of me, and I’ve never appreciated my husband more,” she continued.

The HGTV star shared details about her younger daughter’s premature birth on social media nearly a month after she was born, writing on Oct. 1 that Darla “interrupted” her 11th wedding anniversary dinner with Brett, and she “was almost birthed on the side of the highway” as they traveled to the hospital.

Darla was in the NICU for 15 days, where she received additional care like a body warmer, light therapy, oxygen support and a feeding tube.

Jasmine also opened up about her second daughter’s name in an October 2024 Instagram post, noting that there wasn’t “a big story around it.”

“We never tell anyone the name ahead of time because if we can settle on a name, we don’t want to take the chance of anyone ruining it for us,” she wrote. “Neither of us have ever known a ‘Darla’ so that was a good start! Let’s be honest, naming people is TOUGH!”
