Jason Anderson Talks First Podium of the Summer at Washougal
Jason Anderson, riding for Monster Energy Kawasaki, secured his first podium of the 2024 season at the Washougal National this past Saturday. Reflecting on his ride, Anderson shared insights into the challenges and adjustments that have led to his summer's first podium.
Anderson has Troll Training, led by former racer Alex Martin, in his arsenal. He has also been at the ClubMx Training Facility in South Carolina for a couple of months to enhance his bike performance and training, and it's starting to come together.
"It feels great to finally be on the podium," Anderson said. "I've been so close these past races, finishing just outside the top three. We've made some changes to the bike, and it's starting to show. I'm getting more comfortable out there."

He discussed the difficulty of passing on the track, highlighting how the conditions and track changes impacted his strategy.
"This track is definitely hard to pass on," Anderson noted. "The deep ruts made it tough to move around. I got lucky early in the second moto when I saw an opportunity and went for it, which helped me take the lead."
Anderson expressed his appreciation for Washougal, a track where he has historically performed well. "I've always liked Washougal. It's a beautiful place, and the fans here are incredible. This track has been good to me the past few years, and it's great to continue that streak."
Looking ahead, Anderson welcomes the upcoming schedule break. "Outdoor racing is no joke, and the break will be a good chance to rest and recharge. With the SMX races extending our season, this break is definitely needed."
Jason Anderson's podium finish at Washougal is a testament to the continuous improvements to his bike and performance. As the season progresses, he remains focused on maintaining this momentum.
