I'm obsessed with these jeans that secretly feel like joggers - and right now they're under £20

Yes, these jeans actually feel like joggers and are definitely the best purchase I’ve made this year.

I promise you, you won't regret buying a pair of jean joggers. (Yahoo Life UK)

Over the past five years, we've gradually shifted to a lifestyle where comfort is key. If you're working from home now, your smart tailored office trousers have likely been replaced by joggers with an elasticated waistband, and those once-loved tight jeans have remained untouched at the back of your wardrobe due to comfort now being a non-negotiable.

Sound familiar? I'm with you! I’ve now curated my wardrobe with loose, stretchy pieces. However, this has come with a somewhat sartorial downgrade, so I’ve been making a conscious effort to find more put-together items that don’t compromise on comfort and I really hit the jackpot when I came across the new invention of jean joggers.

Now, I know we've had many denim hybrid items in the past, most prominently the invention of jeggings (a hybrid of jeans and leggings), with M&S's best-selling jeggings remaining a constant bestseller since their launch several years ago. Think of 2025's jean joggers as the new, more chic version, merging the comfort of joggers with the silhouette of your favourite pair of wide-leg jeans. It's absolute genius and a no-brainer purchase. Trust me, I already own two pairs.

Most high street stores, from M&S to Tu Clothing and Next, have already brought out their own version. However, every single pair of jean joggers I’ve come across are selling out in record time. I’ve never seen one item sell out so consistently across retailers, which is seriously impressive, but also frustrating if you’re trying to get a pair. But don't worry, I've done all the research for you, so you can get a pair of jean joggers in your life ASAP because you absolutely won't regret it.

💸 Reasons to buy

After trying on several different options, I bought my first pair of jean joggers from Tu Clothing last month. The Dark Rinse Denim Ultra Wide Jogger Jeans combined the denim wash and just-wide-enough silhouette I wanted, and cost a very affordable £24. Plus, right now they're on sale for just £19.20, so I may just have to buy myself another pair.

Another bonus is that Tu Clothing has options of short, regular and long lengths. I bought a couple of pairs to try in different sizes and lengths and ended up keeping the regular length (I'm 5'4) and found them true to size, so I kept the size 8, instead of the 10.

I recently took my jean joggers on a trip to Paris and pretty much lived in them, I actually felt disappointed when I had to pivot to another pair of trousers because they are just so comfy.

The elasticated waist, combined with the soft, lightweight denim and loose wide-leg fit, creates the ultimate comfy feel. And, I love that they look like any other pair of chic wide-leg jeans, so I still look put-together, all while feeling very smug with my stretchy, elasticated waistband.

Following the sell-out success of my original pair (although, they've just been restocked), Tu Clothing have since bought out a ton of other options. They have the same style I own in a slightly lighter shade and in classic black that are also reduced to just £19.20. Each pair is available in sizes 8 to 22 (although sizes are selling out super fast).

You can also pick up the same style in a lighter blue denim wash.

Reasons to avoid

The one downside? It’s ruined all other jeans for me. Since returning from Paris, I’ve already bought a second pair of jean joggers, just so I can pretty much live in them 24/7. All my other jeans have become redundant and might as well be packed away because once you switch to jean joggers, there’s no going back.

I’m now a firm believer that every woman deserves to know jean joggers exist because we should all be able to look chic and feel comfy at the same time. I’ve already convinced a few colleagues to hit the buy button, and honestly, in terms of cost per wear, they’ve already paid for themselves.

Whether I’m dressing them up with a blazer for a day at the office or pairing them with a jumper to work from home, I can't recommend these versatile trousers enough, so if you buy one new item for your spring wardrobe it should be these.

If you're wanting to try something a bit different to your usual wide-leg jean, Tu Clothing has also bought out their jean jogger style in a very on-trend barrel leg style as well as a even more lightweight chambray fabric option, perfect for summer.

Featuring a super on-trend barrel leg shape, this style comes with an elasticated waist and drawstring fastening, and are crafted from a soft chambray fabric that's easy to move in.

There are a ton of other great jean jogger options on the high street right now, from Next to New Look, Seasalt Cornwall, Finery, Monsoon, M&S, George at Asda and more - but they’re selling out extremely quickly.

Don’t worry though, I’ve included a wide range of options below so you don’t miss out.
