Like You, Jennifer Aniston Is Super Bummed That the 'Friends' Reunion Is Still Delayed

The HBO Max special has been postponed again.

Jennifer Aniston is just as disappointed as everyone else that the Friends reunion show has been put on hold for a second time.

Back in March, the entire cast of the '90s sitcom was expected to reunite on the original soundstage with a live audience, but the coronavirus pandemic pushed back filming to coincide with the launch of HBO Max (where you can currently stream all 236 episodes). Now, production has been postponed again with a date that's yet to be determined.

In a new interview with Deadline, Aniston shared her sadness over the news. "Unfortunately it's very sad that we had to it again," she told the outlet, adding: "It was ‘How do we do this with live audiences?’ This is not a safe time. Period. That’s the bottom line. It’s not a safe time to do it.” However, she's not letting the delay completely get her down.

“It’s going to be super,” she promised. “You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more exciting and more fun than it would have been. I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed. Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life guys.”

In the meantime, Aniston has been hosting mini Friends reunions of her own during quarantine. Last month, Jennifer and her BFF Courteney Cox got together to make a bizarre mask-wearing video, featuring Cox's dogs, and shortly after, Aniston and Cox called upon Lisa Kudrow to join one of their PSAs — this time, it was about voting. "Friends don't let friends skip elections," Cox whispers in Aniston ear as Kudrow listens in.

Until a date gets officially set for the reunion, we'll take whatever content we can get.
