Update, June 24, 2019:

After months of silence on the matter, Full House star John Stamos has finally decided to speak out about Lori Loughlin's alleged involvement in the college admissions scandal.

When chatting with Entertainment Tonight, John said he wasn't sure if Lori would be worked into the fifth and final season of Netflix's Fuller House.

"I haven't been on the show yet and it hasn't come up, so I'm going to talk to some people about it this week and see what's going on," he told the outlet. "I'm just going to wait a little longer before I talk about it. It's a difficult situation for everyone involved. I don't mean just on our side."

According to John, the final season will be split into two parts, with nine episodes each. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

Uncle Jesse looks to be "having mercy" on Aunt Becky, after all.

While Fuller House star John Stamos has stayed noticeably quiet amid Lori Loughlin's alleged involvement in the college admissions scandal, he recently posted a picture of Lori alongside his other co-stars Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie), Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), Andrea Barber (Kimmy), Candace Cameron Bure (DJ), and Bob Saget (Danny).

"Gearing up for the 5th and final. @fullerhouse," John captioned the Instagram photo. Lori was the only one who wasn't tagged in the photo (she deleted her Instagram back in March).

It isn't much, but, as Instagram has come to conclude, a picture really does say a thousand words. According to John's followers, including Lori in the photo means two things:

  1. He's subtly showing his support for his co-star

  2. Perhaps Aunt Becky will be making an appearance in season 5 of Fuller House, after all.

"Please let it include Aunt Becky! 🙏 We all make mistakes," one fan wrote. "Aunt Becky better be on it!!!! @johnstamos," another demanded.

While many Full House/Fuller House fans would seemingly love to see Lori back, it's unlikely to happen. For starters, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannuli, could reportedly spend up to 40 years in prison. Initially, they were charged with paying $500,000 to a phony charity so that their daughtersOlivia Jade and Isabella Rose - could pose as crew recruits and get into the University of Southern California. But recently, they've also been given additional money laundering charges on top of their previous wire fraud charges.

In light of it all, Vulture reports that Netflix has "no plans for Loughlin's beloved character, Aunt Becky, to return in a recurring capacity."

Like her role as Aunt Becky, Lori's charges in the scandal also cost her a gig on Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, where she played Abigail Stanton. On top of that, Hallmark made it clear that they have "stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin, including Garage Sales Mysteries."

During this uncertain time for Lori, both Bob and Candace have publicly said kind words about their co-star.

“You love who you love in your life ... I just love who I love," Bob told TMZ when asked about Lori.

Meanwhile, Candace's Kids' Choice Awards speech in late March made it seem as though she was standing behind Lori, as well.

"Family sticks together no matter what,” Candace said. “They stick together through the hard times. They support each other. They encourage one another. They pray for each other, and they stand by their side no matter how tough it gets. And a loving family that sticks together also celebrates the really good times together.”

Lori's drama aside, Fuller House is set to return for its final season sometime this fall, as Netflix previously announced. And when it does, it'll sure be interesting to see if the family show addresses the scandal head on ... or not at all.
