Kaia Gerber, 16, wears clip-on earrings in '80s-style photo shoot

Kaia Gerber has already carved out a modeling career completely independent of her supermodel mom’s, but it’s undeniable there are certain times when there are parallels. Case in point: LOVE 19.

The 16-year-old model is featured in Love Magazine’s 19^th issue, which the publication teased on Monday on social media. In the photo, Gerber is decked out in fashion from a decade that made her mom famous: the ‘80s. Wearing a white turtleneck, stacked colorful Hermes bangles, and chunky clip-on-style earrings, she’s giving off serious young Cindy Crawford vibes. What sealed the deal was the teased wavy hairstyle that her mom rocked frequently — pieces dangling in front of her forehead, Kaia’s a little messier that Crawford’s usually was except for her Pepsi ad.

While Kaia’s certainly making a name for herself, being compared to her mom is nothing new. Kaia’s hairstyle in her Versace campaign matched that of her mom’s in her own Versace campaign years earlier.

And it’s not only on-set where Kaia channels her mom. When pounding the pavement with Kendall Jenner last month, Kaia wore a 90s-inspired outfit, making many think Jenner somehow traveled back in time to meet a younger Crawford. Then there was the time the mother-daughter duo were twinning in matching leather jackets and hoop earrings on the cover of Vogue Paris. Hey, when your mom’s The Cindy Crawford, why wouldn’t you want to be just like her?
