Kamala Harris Wears Tailored Zipper Jacket and Statement Scarf for Donald Trump’s Inauguration 2025

Vice President Kamala Harris attended President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday in Washington, D.C., following the tradition of an orderly transfer of power after her defeat in November’s election. Harris welcomed Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, at the White House, joined by her husband, Douglas Emhoff. She chose a monochromatic outfit for the occasion.

Harris wore a structured, double-breasted black coat that reflected the formal tone of the event. The tailored outerwear featured sharp lapels and a classic silhouette. Underneath, Harris paired the coat with black trousers and a tailored zipper jacket. She accessorized the look with a black-and-white scarf and leather gloves.

Emhoff complemented Harris’s outfit with a charcoal overcoat and a gray scarf, maintaining a classic and subdued color palette. The couple stood alongside JD and Usha Vance outside the White House’s North Portico, marking the start of the day’s inauguration events.

Donald Trump’s second inauguration as the 47th President of the United States took place on Monday in Washington, D.C. Following tradition, the day began with a worship service at St. John’s Episcopal Church and a White House meeting between incoming and outgoing presidents. The mandated swearing-in ceremony will happen on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. Carrie Underwood is set to perform “America the Beautiful” at the event. Following the inauguration, guests and supporters of the President are expected to attend three evening celebrations, including the Commander in Chief Ball, Liberty Inaugural Ball and Starlight Ball.
