Katie Holmes Rebels Against The Winter Blues In This Happy Look
Winter wardrobes may favour chocolate browns, deep burgundies, and electric blacks and whites, but Katie Holmes is making a case for vibrance.
The actor was seen out on a coffee run in New York City on Sunday in a look that both embraced the autumn-winter colour scheme and rebelled against it. To stay warm, Holmes wrapped herself up in a cosy burnt-orange jacket that seemed to be made of a smooth suede. The piece had deep construction-core pockets, so it only made sense that Holmes pair it with baggy wide-leg, workwear-inspired blue jeans.

The earthy shades continued with Holmes’s accessories, which included a ribbed knit slate-grey beanie and maroon shades. But, in a call back to summer, the Rare Objects director added some cool, fresh touches to the look as well: a long-sleeve tee with sky blue and white stripes (à la Waldo), white trainers, and a gold necklace with a bright blue stone pendant. Her most relatable accessories, though? The two Starbucks coffees she carried in hand.
Holmes had her brown hair down in messy waves and was all smiles in her happy look, championing joy amid those winter blues.
In 2022, the actor spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her sustainable approach to dressing and her low-key style off the red carpet. 'I love my vintage T-shirts. They’re so yummy. They’re a little dirty, a little stained or whatever, and that’s me,' she said at the time.
