Katy Perry’s First Outing Since Welcoming Her Daughter Included a Surprising Accessory

Katy Perry gave birth approximately yesterday, and despite a series of surely sleepless nights, the new mom is out and even coordinating.

Perry, who welcomed daughter Daisy Dove with fiancé Orlando Bloom late last month, stepped out in Montecito, Calif. over the weekend in an olive green caftan with light pink embroidery, bright army green and white-striped slides, heavy dangling silver earrings, and a matching wrist cuff, sunglasses, a face mask (of course), and … a straw visor. I mean, clearly the paparazzi still got the shot, but Perry certainly made a commendable effort to conceal her identity. We doubt this was planned, but her visor nicely matched the two beige coffee cups in her hands.

Though we’ve yet to see a full photo of Perry and Bloom’s tiny new family member, Perry has let us in on a few moments of new parenthood in the weeks since Daisy’s birth. The singer shared her first postpartum selfie on the evening of the MTV Video Music Awards — “Hair n makeup by: @exhaustion” she joked in her Instagram Story.

On Monday, Perry starred a photo of the silk blanket Taylor Swift gifted “Baby Bloom,” writing, “hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager."
