Kendall Jenner Gets Candid About Her Approach to Dating: “I Love Really Hard”
Kendall Jenner’s dating life is one of the many things about her that constantly makes headlines, whether she likes it or not. Although the supermodel and reality star is, at this point, more than used to the attention, her relationships are something she still holds very sacred and keeps private, to the best of her abilities.
“I love really hard, and I love without apology,” she says in her cover story for Harper’s Bazaar September issue.
Currently, Jenner is dating Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. The two were first linked this February, and have gone from being spotted on secret late-night dates to publicly hanging out with friends and front-row at NBA games (in coordinating looks, no less). Prior to the “Where She Goes” singer, Jenner dated NBA stars Devin Booker (2020–2022), Ben Simmons (2018–2019), and Blake Griffin (2017–2018), among others.
And she stands by those relationships.
“I don’t like goodbyes, and I will fight to not have to say goodbye. I will always fight for relationships,” Jenner says. “I’ve been that way since I was little, although I was shy and sometimes very closed off. I don’t give up on anything. Some people aren’t willing to meet me at that level. But that’s okay. I’d rather do that than shut myself off to something and not give it a proper chance.”
Jenner and Bad Bunny have chosen not to comment publicly on their romance, and have each alluded to the relationship only once before in interviews. This past June, Jenner told WSJ magazine she had no comment about her relationship status. “I try [to] find the balance of keeping things private and keeping things sacred, [and] also not letting the unfortunate frustration and stress of everyone trying to get in on it stop me from enjoying my side,” she said. “I just think that that’s the healthier way of dealing with relationships anyway.”
Bad Bunny echoed the model’s sentiment in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I know something is going to come out. I know [people are] going to say something. People know everything about me, so what’s left for me to protect? My private life, my personal life,” he said. “That’s the only answer. In the end, the only thing I have is my privacy.”
