Kendra Wilkinson Slammed Trolls' Body-Shaming Comments with Makeup-Free Selfie
"I'm not that girl I was before."
Kendra Wilkinson is over the online discourse about her appearance and age, and on Sunday, January 12, the Playboy star clapped back at trolls’ body-shaming comments in a post detailing the many ways she’s currently thriving in her life. Despite cruel social media commentary, Wilkinson revealed that she was “feeling amazing” as she penned a poignant message for “those of you hating on my new weight [and] 40 yr old face.”
To wrap up the weekend, the Girls Next Door alum proudly shared a makeup-free mirror selfie of her posing in a bathroom while wearing black athletic leggings, white sneakers, and a white tank top with a black bandeau bra peeking out underneath.
“Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, I’m aging. Yes, I’m not that girl I was before (playboy girl),” she wrote, adding a laughing face emoji. However, Wilkinson revealed she was more than fine with leaving that era behind her as she detailed her recent glow-up.
“For once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy,” the mom-of-two added. “Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny.” Wilkinson shares son Hank Jr., 15, and daughter Alijah, 10, with her ex-husband, Hank Baskett, whom she divorced in 2018.
She then directly addressed those leaving mean comments, “For those of you hating on my new weight, 40 yr old face, please know that I’m happy, healthy, and at peace in life finally. Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together. Almost 40 is feeling amazing.”
Wilkinson concluded her clap-back with a message to the “people criticizing [her] alcohol intake.” She included a reference to her 40th birthday as she responded, “I hear you and that will be monitored better. Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much but you know what’s coming up in JUNE…. Shots. 😂. Love ya.”
Wilkinson previously opened up about how parenting has given her “purpose” while calling it “a full-time job” in a November interview with Us Weekly.
“My kids are effing amazing. They’re just the most amazing human beings,” Wilkinson told the publication. “I pinch myself every day. They’re just good, nice people, just aiming for a good life and to be good and to do good in the world. It’s such a pleasure and it’s just the most amazing feeling to have them. They give me so much purpose.”
