Ever since I watched Scandal, Kerry Washington has captured my attention. You just can’t compete with her jaw-droppingly good acting, sparkling personality, and impeccable style—and, today, I’m going to be focusing on the latter.

Arriving at The View in New York City, Washington wore an uncomplicated outfit that was versatile and darn right practical. She opted for a striped dress that barely grazed the floor, and threw on a black coat (a.k.a., the cold-weather staple everyone could benefit from). Washington’s sexy boots (which resemble Sam Edelman’s Sylvia version almost to a T) included sleek black leather, a soaring heel, round toe, and knee-high shaft. Immediately, I thought of Amal Clooney: the queen of dominatrix-style footwear. So, now you have two badass women signing off on the sultry trend.

I’m no celebrity, but knee-high boots have even gained my stamp of approval.
