If you’ve been sweating it out on the treadmill and eating a few less croissants for breakfast (apparently more than three is excessive?) to get fit and healthy this year, rest assured because it sounds like you’re not the only one.

Just three months after giving birth to her daughter True Thompson, Khloé Kardashian has opened up about her weight loss journey and reigniting her passion for fitness as a new mum.

In a new blog post, the 34-year-old - who welcomed her first child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson in April - revealed she gradually returned to her gym routine following her pregnancy.

‘After I had True, I didn't put any pressure on myself to lose the baby weight,’ she wrote in the post.

‘I just wanted to get back to my regular routine from before I got pregnant, which was working out five to six times a week.’

The reality star has been keen to share her return to her workout routines on social media in recent months, but little did we know how much weight the Good American founder has shed since giving birth.

‘Here is where I am at currently,’ the star added. ‘True turned three months old on 12 July. I honestly didn't give myself a number that I wanted to lose by this time, especially since I wasn't able to work out for the first six weeks.

‘But, since then, I've lost 33 pounds! I'm shocked that I lost that much weight that quickly.’

Yes, that’s right - Khloé lost approximately 2st 3lbs in less than 12 weeks.

Never have I ever.....

However, rather than resorting to a fad cleanse like her sister Kim Kardashian who lost half a stone in seven days for this year’s Met Gala (which does more harm than good, FYI), Khloé is putting down her weight loss to a ‘combination of breastfeeding and being very active during and after my pregnancy’.

It's also worth noting here that the average new mum gains up to two and a half stone during pregnancy and can lose up to a pound every week or two from breastfeeding alone, according Very Well Family. So, while Khloé's weight loss may sound drastic for some, it's actually pretty standard for a lot of women after giving birth.

In true 'KoKo' fashion, the Californian beauty was keen to make sure her followers understood the importance of prioritising a healthy mind and body and not comparing yourself to others.

‘I never compare myself to other women as every woman has their own journey,’ Khloé added. ‘We also all have different priorities in our day-to-day lives. One of mine is having that one hour where I can be selfish and alone in my place of refuge.’

Reassuring her fans that her efforts to lose weight post pregnancy came down to a desire to stay ‘healthy and active’ rather than for aesthetic reasons, Khloé concluded: ‘Exercise is something I've always used to maintain my sanity and relieve stress. And, now that I have a baby, I still want to keep something that's my time, my space, something I'm doing for myself.’

Last month, the new mum - who returned to her home in Calabasas, California last month after residing in Cleveland, Ohio following the birth of True - took to social media to slam reports claiming that she had turned to a ‘ridiculous’ diet.

‘I truly dislike when people report I've lost a tremendous amount of weight in a short amount of time or when people claim I'm doing these ridiculous diets,’ she revealed on Twitter in June.

‘It's really setting the wrong tone. I believe in making lifestyle changes when it comes to my food.

‘Dieting is great but dieting doesn't typically create long lasting results. I also believe that working out is so incredibly healthy and should be done to each individuals own rhythm of life. There's no one size fits all when health and fitness.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
