Kim Kardashian owned her root regrowth on the red carpet
Kim Kardashian attended the LACMA Art & Film Gala in LA on Sunday night and gave us all a lesson in styling out your roots when you just can't get your hair colour done.
Turns out LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art, FYI) pulls in an impressive crowd and Kim was joined by celebrities including Billie Eilish, Sydney Sweeney and her sister Kendall Jenner.
While Reddit and more specifically the KUWTK forum was comparing Kim's dress to a "sheet of fondant", which is my favourite comparison I think I've ever heard. I was a little more preoccupied with the beauty side of things. Specifically how Kim has made roots cool again.
Now, don't get me wrong. Since being a peroxide blonde, Kim has pretty much consistently kept a sliver of a root. But on Sunday night that slither was most definitely a little chunkier and you could also see the regrowth underneath as well.
While I'd be reaching for the root spray, Kim made her roots a key part of the look and with the black fondant dress it somehow gave her whole vibe an edgier feel.
Now, it could be that Kim is trying to maintain the health of her by dying it less often or it could be that she's not going to be blonde for much longer if her hairstylist Chris Appleton's Instagram caption is anything to go by.
Sharing a picture of Kim on the carpet, Chris wrote: "Who votes we keep the blonde? Glam last night on Kim for the LACMA red carpet."
Anyone else get the feeling that Kim is itching for a colour change? Oh and if my vote counts, Chris, I'm ready for Kim's return to the dark side.
