King Charles' Coronation Is Shaping Up to Be Exactly Like Queen Elizabeth's in One Very Specific Way

King Charles' coronation is almost here. That means all the details for the big day, including the guest list, are in place. But there might be something a little unexpected headed his way: rain!

Right now, The Met Office, which is the national meteorological service for the UK, is predicting a 70% chance of showers on May 6. "On Saturday we will see some heavy rain moving into the southwest in the early hours which will move north eastwards through the morning. This is likely to bring some rain to London by around lunchtime," Met Office Deputy Chief Forecaster Steven Keates told CNN.

The coronation of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, who will also be crowned on Saturday, is expected to take place at Westminster Abbey in London around 11 a.m., so there is a chance that the royal family, and viewers on the street, will need their brollies (that's British for umbrellas).

That being said, Charles might actually feel connected to his mother and grandfather if it does rain. When Queen Elizabeth was crowned in June of 1953, it poured. It was also a damp morning and evening when Queen Elizabeth's father and mother, King George VI and the Queen Mother, were crowned in May of 1937.

We'll all just have to wait and see how the weather holds up, but in case you were wondering, the show will go on regardless of the rain!
