Kylie Jenner puts a very modern spin on the classic Chanel suit
The Chanel skirt suit in all its ladylike tweed glory is widely regarded as one of the most classic items of clothing that you could be lucky enough to invest in. A design that has truly stood the test of time since it first emerged almost 100 years ago, the style has long been associated with elegance and tradition, but – as Kylie Jenner just proved – the Chanel skirt suit is anything but old fashioned.
Sitting front row at the house's autumn/winter 2025 haute couture show this morning, Jenner was photographed wearing a very modern take on the Chanel skirt suit, proving yet again why this classic style transcends the generations.
The reality star and businesswoman chose a white tweed suit from the house in the form of a cropped jacket with trademark Chanel buttons, paired with a pleated mini skirt and chain belt. She accessorised with black low-heeled slingbacks, a black boxy bag, as well as sunglasses and a cross-body phone holder. The styling was perfect, and helped to marry tradition with modernity.
Jenner's style is reminiscent of the now viral look that Olivia Rodrigo wore to the White House in 2021 – a Clueless-inspired pink vintage Chanel suit, which she teamed with socks and platform heels. At the time, she was held responsible for a huge spike in interest in the item on resale sites, as well as in vintage shopping more generally. It's likely that Jenner's look will send searches for the Chanel suit skyrocketing once again.
The couture shows have really become Jenner's fashion playground in recent years. From that Simone Rocha x Jean Paul Gaultier gown to her Schiaparelli lion head, the star knows how to get it right on the couture front row, and she really has become the face to watch.
