In case you haven’t gotten the memo, this year’s hottest trends are cueing ‘70s nostalgia. And somewhere between the bell bottom pantsshiny satin slipsfringe details and denim overalls, there’s a bit of glam rock inspiration that somehow continues to stand through the test of time. The proof: makeup.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Global Makeup Artist Sarah Tanno, who has also worked with Lady Gaga, says this year’s fall trends are all about smokey eyes, metallic glossy lips and high-shine cheeks. Inspired by the glitz and glam of rock legends of the past, Tanno walks us through the brand’s limited-edition Lust and Stardust Collection.

While the pigments and finish of this collection are amped-up, glittery and metallic, Tanno suggests it’s still the perfect collection to help elevate your typical everyday fall look.

“All the products are really easy to use in an every scenario, so if you’re pretty minimal with your makeup choices, this is a great introduction to using a metallic gloss that you’ve never been comfortable wearing before,” says Tanno.

Above, Tanno shows us how to incorporate glittery, sparkly makeup into your fall beauty routine.
