At Paris Couture Week on January 28, Kylie Jenner had a new take on the classic Chanel bouclé suit, long beloved by Waspy grandmothers, first ladies, and other conservative fashion icons.

Eschewing the suit’s traditional modest jacket and knee-length pencil skirt, Jenner’s take on the cream Chanel suit included an abs-baring cropped jacket and a pleated miniskirt accessorized by silver chain belts with white crystal-heart charms.

Across her chest, Jenner wore a black crossbody bag strap with no visible bag attached. Instead, she carried a black mini quilted-box clutch to match her black patent leather slingbacks, which featured a rounded toe and block kitten heel. For jewelry, she complemented her chain belts with a matching anklet and a few stacked bangles. To finish the ensemble, Jenner wore oversized black cat-eye Chanel sunglasses and loose curls.

Midriff-baring twist notwithstanding, Kylie Jenner’s classic Chanel suit is a somewhat toned-down style choice for the billionaire, who tends to prefer looks on the extra daring side. Examples include the vintage metallic Versace dress, with its plunging neckline and thigh-high slit, that she wore to the 2025 Golden Globes alongside boyfriend Timothée Chalamet. Lately, Jenner’s Instagram is filled with outfits from her own clothing line, Khy, which include topping leather lingerie with black trench coats and faux fur jackets.

But if there’s one thing we know about Kylie Jenner, it’s that she has the confidence to pull anything off. “Yeah, I love full lips and wanted full lips, but growing up I was always the most confident person in the room. I was the girl performing for everyone. I had my one lip insecurity thing, so I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t regret it. But I always thought I was cute,” she told Hommegirls in 2023.
