Although Kardashian officially called it quits with Thompson, who has a history of cheating behaviour, most of the public’s attention and name-calling has been focused on Woods.

Can you imagine if who you’d made out with when you were 21 had massive public shaming consequences?” Dunham wrote.

Dunham continued, “When I was 21 I kissed my friend’s crush in my bathroom during a dinner party. I was inexplicably wearing a dog leash. I stayed in bed for days feeling hot shame. That was enough of a consequence! Nobody slashed prices on my eyeliner brand or whatever.”

The scandal has caused such a rift between the young model and the famous family, Jenner’s cosmetics brand Kylie Cosmetics dropped prices of the “Jordy Velvet Lip Kit,” a product named after Woods.

For Dunham, the entire situation is a prime example of what happens when young people have too much, too soon: Too much fame, too much money and too much screen time.

The legal drinking age is 21,” the actress tweeted. “The legal going on TV age should be 26.”

When some of the Kardashians’ fans accused the Golden Globe winner of using the scandal as an opportunity to criticize the first family of reality television, Dunham was quick to set the record straight.

“I’m not coming for the Ks!” She replied. “I love and respect them. It’s just a LOT of media attention on a very young girl’s sexual choices and my heart aches when I see that.”

Woods has reportedly moved out of the home she shared with Jenner, and is set to appear on Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Facebook Watch show, “Red Table Talk,” to share her side of the story.
