Looking for restaurant deals this summer? Taste the Gables is here for you

Summer is here, and you know what that means: restaurant bargains, starting in Coral Gables.

The annual, county-wide Miami Spice promotion doesn’t start until August, but there’s an alternative starting July 1: Taste the Gables. The promotion, which offers fixed price lunches and dinners, runs throughout the month, highlighting some of the most popular restaurants in the city.

Around 50 different upscale and casual restaurants will be participating this year. Lunches are priced between $30 and $35, with dinner priced at $45 and $60. Several casual restaurants will offer happy hour specials and other promotions.

Participating restaurants in 2024 include Zitz Sum and Bachour, both named as Bib Gourmands by the Michelin Guide, a designation that indicates a restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price. Pastry chef Antonio Bachour was also recently honored in the French guide’s La Liste pastry awards.

Also on the list are Jeremy Ford’s Beauty and the Butcher, Giorgio Rapicavoli’s Eating House and Niven Patel’s Erba, which was named one of the best new restaurants of 2023 by Esquire. Tur Kitchen and CVI.CHE 105 will also offer the fixed price menus.

Taste the Gables will also include a Friday night concert series from 8-10 p.m.

July 5: Navy Band Southeast’s Deckplate Brass Band, Giralda Plaza

July 12: Lazarito y La Makina Timbera, Giralda Plaza

July 19: Overmania, Opening Act by Annecy’s Jazz Group, 150 Miracle Mile

July 26: Diva Revolution, McBride Plaza, 150 Miracle Mile
