Sustainable shopping can be tricky. How do you know if a brand or retailer is actually implementing sustainable methods or if they are really supporting sustainability initiatives? One of our favorite brands is lululemon and they recently launched their Like New program and online resale shop in an effort to give shoppers an opportunity to shop more sustainably as well as improve their impact on the planet.
The new program, lululemon Like New, is a way for shoppers to trade in gently used lululemon activewear and gear in exchange for lululemon credit. Traded in items are added to the lululemon online resale shop where you can shop deals on women’s clothing, men’s clothing and gear. All items are vetted by lululemon and cleaned and refreshed before being added to the resale shop, so you won’t be sacrificing quality. So, what can you shop at the resale shop? If you have an old pair of lululemon leggings that you’d like to upgrade, you can snag a pair of lululemon Align High Rise Crop legging for as low as $45 compared to $88 for a new pair. Their biggest caveat to shopping the lululemon resale shop is that size and color availability will vary. The good news is that you can filter by size, color and condition so you can find the best options for you.
