This Maid Service Sends Models in Costumes to Clean Your Home

From Good Housekeeping

It's hard to make waves when it comes to cleaning, but Connecticut-based Josh Dailey is doing just that with his new cleaning service. It's called My Model Maid and allows customers to choose between 10 different models between the ages of 19 and 27 to clean their home.

Did we mention they wear costumes? There are four to choose from, including French maid, cheerleader, school girl and Wonder Woman. The company offers hourly, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly services and an hour session is $79, with each maid taking home $30 per hour.

"I wanted a fun alternative to cleaning," Dailey told CT Post about his reason for starting the company. Listen, we'll be the first to admit we enjoy good a spin on cleaning (hello, Men in Kilts and Samaritan Maids!), but this feels different.

For starters, the company does a background check on every customer. Sure, that's good news for the ladies, but also suggests that the company realizes their business model could result in threatening situations. So far, Dailey say he's only accepted single people as clients, since he knows that a spouse who isn't on board with the models may cause some issues.

It shouldn't shock you to hear that there's been some backlash on social media as well, with people calling the service "sick," "perverted" and creepy." Dailey's response: "People aren't going to agree, but hopefully they respect where you are coming from," he says. "I have a mother just like everybody else. Despite the business model I have tremendous respect for everyone I work with. The girls are like family."
