This man had the best response to his female friend’s period dilemma

We’ve all been there. Whether you’ve boarded a flight only to discover that you packed your stash of tampons in your suitcase or you’ve had to borrow your boyfriend’s shirt to disguise an unfortunate leakage, periods can be an absolute nightmare

But what happens when you’re on a hike in the middle of nowhere with just three male friends?

One woman, with the username ‘I_Removed_Something’ took to Reddit to share her surprisingly positive experience and titled the tale, ‘A Story About Dave The Period Fairy’.

She wrote: “So we’re hiking for hours, nothing is happening, then about 20 minutes from the end of the trail, it hits me. I didn’t feel it coming at all, and it’s like four days early.”

She continued, “I immediately slink back like 20 feet from the group and start having a panic attack. I had NOTHING on me and I was wearing shorts. At least they were black, but they wouldn’t hold much.”

And in a panic-stricken move, Jane reached for her bra and stuffed it into her knickers (as we all know, we will try anything given the circumstances).

But to her imagined horror, one of the male hikers, Dave, walked up to her and asked if she needed the toilet. Her face must have looked puzzled (despite holding her crotch), as he then asked: “Period issue?”

To which Jane mumbled, “Yes.”

Dave (the Period Fairy) then called out to the other men and told them that Jane had cut her arm on a tree branch and that they should go ahead.

And to Jane’s surprise he then turns and asks: “Pads or tampons?”

She writes, “He pulls out three tampons, the good kind, and a handful of wet-naps, hands them to me and then he opens the main compartment and pulls out a long sleeve black T-shirt.”

Jane then goes into the woodland to tackle the dilemma and when she emerges, Dave even gives her a plaster to put on her arm.

You may be sat questioning exactly what Dave’s intentions were. But when Jane asked why he was so prepared, he simply replied: “I’ve been hiking with women for years, you think I’m stupid?”

As Jane concluded, not all heroes wear capes (but some do wear magic backpacks).
