Ingredients

  • 3

    cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 1/4 c.

    balsamic vinegar

  • 3 tbsp.

    extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 tbsp.

    brown sugar

  • 1 tsp.

    dried rosemary

  • 1 tsp.

    dried thyme

  • 4

    (6- to 8-0z.) boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • Kosher salt

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • Chopped fresh parsley, for serving

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk garlic, vinegar, oil, brown sugar, rosemary, and thyme; generously season with salt and pepper. Reserve 1/4 cup in a small bowl for basting. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

  2. Add chicken to the bowl and toss to combine. Let marinate at least 20 minutes at room temperatureor cover and refrigerate up to overnight.

  3. Prepare a grill for medium-high heat (or heat a grill pan over medium-high heat); preheat 5 minutes. Grill chicken, turning halfway through and basting with reserved marinade, until cooked through and an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part registers 165°, about 6 minutes per side.

  4. Transfer chicken to a platter. Top with parsley.
