Markarian Is Decorating the Mayflower Inn & Spa for the 2024 Holiday Season
New York-based label Markarian is heading to the Connecticut countryside for the upcoming holiday season.
Designer Alexandra O’Neill has teamed up with the Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Conn., to oversee the property’s festive decor, with nods to the Markarian aesthetic. O’Neill described the collaboration as an opportunity to bring “a sense of cosmic beauty and whimsy” to the historic setting.

The entrance to the charming inn, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, will be draped in a green garland with pomegranates and dried hydrangeas, with wreaths adorned with blue velvet bows. Inside, the hotel’s 18-foot tree will be decorated with crystal-embellished bows and floral ikat ornaments inspired by Markarian’s winter collection. Fireplaces will be adorned with custom Markarian ikat stockings. The collaboration also includes the introduction of a Markarian Suite, decorated for the holidays in a similar style as the hotel’s common areas.
The partnership will debut on Nov. 20.
Last month, Markarian debuted its spring 2025 collection, which was infused with ’80s nostalgia, along with the brand’s second collaboration with shoe label Larroudé.
