What Are The Things About "Swinging" That You Wish Other People Would Know About?

Like many, I'm mid-way through binging The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and let me say, I am RIVETED.

Recently, I also read a memoir called More: A Memoir of Open Marriage, which tells the story of a woman navigating sex and relationships outside of her marriage.

These women's stories have made me curious to hear about people who have opened up their marriages. So, married members of the BuzzFeed Community, have you ever opened up your marriage?

If so, did you always anticipate this would be a core part of your relationship, or was opening up the marriage a surprise?
