Marshalls Is Selling a Vintage-Style Tulip Lamp For Only $20 (“So Beautiful!”)

Living room with green velvet sofa, large windows with hanging plants, colorful glass globe pendant lights, wall with natural landscape mural

I love checking out the latest products from home brands, but I also have an addiction to finding secondhand furniture and decor. Every time I switch apartments, the obsession renews, and I find myself scrolling through Facebook Marketplace more often than Instagram or X. While sometimes I stumble across items that I wasn’t on the hunt for — recently, I scored an unbelievable shell table lamp for just $25 — there are times when I’m on a mission. I have a vision of a particular item in my space, and I set out relentlessly to find it.

One piece that’s been on my wish list for well over a year is a vintage tulip lamp, which has a glass shade that resembles flower petals. There’s a chance you’ve already seen it: Remember that viral TikTok where a creator found a floor-length version in a thrift store and restored it? I’ve been dreaming of the same thing happening to me ever since, but alas, I have yet to spot one in a shop or on Facebook, even though I just moved and have been spending way too much time on the app.

However, my hopes of getting the look recently improved, because an option from Marshalls was going viral a few weeks ago. I’m in full agreement with commenters that it’s beyond “beautiful,” and instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars for a true vintage option, its price tag is only $20.

You can chance it and run to your nearest Marshalls location, but there’s a good chance that they’ve all been snatched up. The same, unfortunately, holds true for Marshalls’ online store, so as of right now, you can’t add it to your literal or digital cart. (I know—it’s a tragedy.) However, there is another route you can take that’s just as good, thanks to T.J. Maxx.

This $35 lamp is the closest you can get in appearance and price to Marshalls’. (Honestly, I think it looks even better than the viral one with its frosted glass, ornately sculpted base, and curved “stem.”) The shade is removable, and there’s a 6-foot-long cord that’ll allow you to plug it in anywhere, sans extension cord.

If you want to go for a more true-to-life representation of a flower, you should take your search to Amazon and Wayfair, which both have tulip lamps with green bases. Amazon’s can be adjusted and angled in whatever direction you’d like — which makes it perfect for your reading chair or desk, which is where one shopper placed it. “It’s absolutely adorable and matches with my setup!” they wrote. “I have a froggy keyboard and mouse pad that is similar in color with the green. It’s quite flexible so you’re able to shape it how you want!”

If you want a version that’s a little more high dollar — but still way more reasonable than true vintage would be — Wayfair also has dozens of positive reviews. “Love detail of shade and color is perfect and exactly as pictured,” one said. It also comes in baby pink!

Trust me, as someone who’s had an eye out for a tulip lamp for a while — this way is much easier than waiting to see it at a secondhand store or scouring multiple Marshalls locations. Do yourself a favor and grab any one of these three options. Especially in the case of T.J. Maxx’s lamp, I have a feeling it won’t last much longer than Marshalls’ did!
