Martine Rose Makes Milan Fashion Week Debut

Martine Rose presented her inaugural runway show at Milan Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2025, offering up a slew of oversized silhouettes alongside a new Nike collaboration.

Taking place mere minutes away from Fondazione Prada, the venue was decorated with branded posters, discarded fabrics and old towels, paired with a booming soundtrack of rave-inspired tracks. "The Spring/Summer 2025 collection is dedicated to expressions of beauty spawned from the likes of disturbance, humor, and sex," explained this season's show notes.

Rose presented her usual sportswear-inspired looks, a contemporary take on tailoring and club-night clothing, this time with a twist. In a bid to question conventional beauty standards, models on the runway were accessorized with enlarged prosthetic noses and knotted hip-length wigs.

Featuring new season slogans, the SS25 collection debuted "LOCAL HERO" caps along with signature ROSE-branded buckles, masculine suits, crinkled leather outerwear and heavy-duty workwear jackets. Striped football shirts made a welcome return, alongside latex trousers, deconstructed baseball tops and two-piece tracksuits.

Footwear came courtesy of Nike and Clarks, seemingly hinting at Rose's next collaborations and collections.
