If your family is anything like mine, it’s way easier to get them to gather around the TV to watch a football game than to get them around a table to play a board game like Monopoly or Uno. So why not bring the game to the TV, with Pictionary Air, a game meant to be played on screen? Haven't heard of it? I'll explain. But first, know that Pictionary Air is an Amazon Deal of the Day for Cyber Monday (yes, that means today only!), on sale from $20 to just $13. At that price, it’s more than worth a try!

While you're signed on, grab a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime, if you're not already a member. It means you'll get your holiday purchases fast, and you'll also have access to discounts at Whole Foods and all sorts of streaming content.

Pictionary Air in action

The way Pictionary Air works is that, instead of paper, the person who's drawing sketches shapes into the air, using a stylus. The drawing shows up on connected devices — phones, tablets, TVs (via Apple TV, Chromecast or Roku). The "artist" can’t see what they're drawing, but those looking at the screens sure can. Hilarity ensues as folks guess what the artist is trying to convey.

It's a fun activity for holiday family gatherings, sleepovers any time of year and after-dinner when friends are over. Families who’ve played it agree, with one shopper saying it's "definitely something fun and different than the same old card game for family time. Easy to set up and easy to use no matter what your age." Another player calls it "a great family & friends or adult-only game with some drinks," and adds, "you will be laughing for days."

And this reviewer has a takeaway from a family gathering that really resonates: "...every single member of the fam from 7 to 67 had a blast playing it!"
