McDonald's Has Quietly Discontinued So Many Of Your Favorite Menu Items
McDonald's is home to some of the most classic fast food items ever. We've ranked our favorite McDonald's desserts and dollar menu items and McFlurry flavors. But what about all those items that have disappeared over the years? From the recently phased out McCafé treats to the fan-favorite Snack Wrap, here are some of the McDonald's menu items that have disappeared over the years.
McCafé Bakery Items
While these McCafé Bakery items just launched in 2020, they've already been phased out. You can say goodbye to the blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll (which we happened to enjoy), and the apple fritter. Luckily, the chocolate chip cookie and baked apple pie are here to stay.
McSpaghetti
McDonald's had spaghetti and meatballs?! The pasta dish hit menus in 1970, but was discontinued in 1980, according to People. If you're really craving McSpaghetti, it's sold in the Philippines.
Snack Wraps
While you can get Snacks Wraps in many other countries, they were discontinued from McDonald's U.S. locations back in 2016. If you've given up hope waiting for Mickey D's to bring back your favorite menu item, Burger King has answered fans' prayers by launching Royal Crispy Wraps.
Chicken Selects & Buttermilk Crispy Tenders
McDonald's chicken tenders made a few appearances over the years under names ranging from Chicken Selects to Buttermilk Crispy Tenders. They were juicy, they were crunchy, but now we're left with just Chicken McNuggets and, sadly, still no Snack Wraps.
McSalad Shakers
McSalad Shakers might have been ahead of their time, as the salad in a cup is similar to the popular Mason jar lunches we pack today. They were introduced in 2000, but discontinued just three years later, according to Mashed.
Cinnamon Melts
Essentially a deconstructed cinnamon roll, Cinnamon Melts have also left McDonald's menus. Luckily, we have plenty of recipes for treats, from a cinnamon roll casserole and poke cake to cinnamon bun cookies.
McDonaldland Cookies
A childhood favorite, these nostalgic bags of cookies haven't been in happy meals for years. But they do appear to be on the dessert menu in Australia.
Grilled Chicken Sandwich
