Meghan Markle’s As Ever Logo Has Hidden Tributes to Harry and Her Kids
Meghan Markle recently unveiled her rebranded lifestyle brand, As Ever, and its new logo is packed with subtle nods to her family and personal history. The design features a palm tree encased by two hummingbirds.
Us Weekly reports that Meghan purposely chose a palm tree to symbolize her Montecito, California home with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
In 2022, Meghan spoke to The Cut about how she and Harry were attracted to their Montecito home in part because of two prominent palm trees on the property. She recounted how Harry had observed the trees’ intertwined roots and remarked, “See how they’re connected at the bottom? My love, it’s us.”
Us Weekly also confirmed that Meghan included hummingbirds in the logo because they are very important to Harry. The prince wrote about their significance in Spare, his 2023 memoir.
Shortly after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in 2022, “a hummingbird got into the house [in Montecito],” he began. “I had a devil of a time guiding it out… Then a mate said: ‘Could be a sign, you know? Some cultures see hummingbirds as spirits.’”
Beyond the logo, Meghan described As Ever as an evolution of her previous lifestyle blog, The Tig, with a focus on food, gardening, and entertaining.
On February 18, the Duchess of Sussex announced her brand’s name change from American Riviera Orchard to As Ever in an Instagram video. She explained that As Ever represents continuity and an extension of her past ventures. “This new chapter is an extension of what has always been my love language, beautifully weaving together everything I cherish—food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday,” she said.
Meghan also confirmed one product she’ll be selling: “Of course there will be fruit preserves. I think we’re all clear at this point that jam is my jam.”
Her latest Instagram offered a glimpse into the aesthetic and potential product lineup of As Ever. The photo depicts Meghan drizzling honey over a croissant, with a glass of sparkling wine, fresh berries, and a jar of fruit preserves in the background. She captioned it, “You’re warmly invited: As ever, coming Spring 2025.”
