Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Had a Double Date with Katharine McPhee and David Foster

The outing comes after news that McPhee and Foster are expecting their first child together.

Meghan Markle and Katharine McPhee's friendship is still going strong.

Just after news dropped that McPhee is expecting her first child with husband David Foster, the couple was spotted out on a double date with none other than Meghan and Prince Harry. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can be seen arriving hand-in-hand at a restaurant in Montecito for dinner, both wearing face masks.

Meghan wore a pair of cropped leather pants, a camel-colored sweater, and a trenchcoat over her shoulders with orange heeled mules, while Harry opted for a casual white button-down with dark trousers and brown shoes.

The Mail reported that the foursome dined for three hours under the covered patio.

In case you missed it, McPhee revealed last year that she and the duchess have known each other since they did musicals together as kids growing in L.A.

McPhee also said earlier this year that Foster has grown close with Prince Harry.

“My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry," she said at the time. "They’re so cute, they’re like father and son. We just stay in touch with them. Meghan and I knew each other from childhood, but really, Harry and my husband are friends, and it’s really nice."

She also shared that she and Meghan went to the same middle school, hence why they go way back.

"She went to a school called Immaculate Heart, as did I," she said. "She went there for middle school and high school, and I went there just for middle school. I did a couple shows with her and she was always put together and great."

Foster also told Daily Mail earlier this year that he helped the Sussexes find the Canadian home they stayed in for the holidays in 2019.

"I felt honored that I was able to help Meghan there, because I'm a Canadian and we're a commonwealth country, we're the Crown's," he said. "It's important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment."

He added, "I was really happy to be able to help them to find a respite just to take a little time off."
