Meghan Markle's Outfit in Her New Instagram Profile Picture Is Effortless California Chic

Meghan Markle is officially back on Instagram.
The Duchess of Sussex, who shut down her account @meghanmarkle and her blog the Tig before marrying Prince Harry, rejoined the platform on New Year's Day. Her first post features the Duchess at the beach near her home in Montecito, in a video filmed by Prince Harry.
In addition, Meghan uploaded a new profile picture—a black and white photo shot by her friend, photographer Jake Rosenberg. The picture was snapped on a public beach in Santa Barbara, and in it, Meghan wears a dress from her closet. Her hair is down in loose waves, and she has no jewelry on except a sparkling necklace.

Meghan's return to Instagram follows the 2024 debut of her brand American Riviera Orchard (americanriviera.com) and Instagram account (@americanrivieraorchard). While American Riviera Orchard has yet to start selling any products—strawberry jam has been sent out to select friends and family—it's likely it could officially launch this year.
In addition, Meghan is set to host a cooking and entertaining show on Netflix, as part of her and Harry's multimillion dollar deal with the streamer. Back in October 2023, Meghan spoke about their projects in development, describing them as "things that make people feel–I was going say 'good,' but it's more than that, things that make people feel something, right? And feel a sense of community." She added, "we have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it, too. It’s really fun."
