Melania Trump wears stretch-leather leggings to fly
Melania Trump takes the newly minted no-fly zone for sweatpants rule very seriously. The first lady jetted back to Washington, D.C., on New Year’s Day after a week at Mar-a-Lago wearing a pair of leather pants.
For many, Jan. 1 is strictly reserved for the most comfortable and accessible outfits, especially if traveling is involved. And while Melania did technically wear $552 leggings, they weren’t necessarily the comfy kind.
She paired her burgundy Helmut Lang stretch-leather leggings with a tan double-breasted peacoat over a turtleneck sweater, and teetered off Air Force One in Louboutins carrying an Hermes Birkin bag. Her pumps, purse, pullover, and pants matched.
Though Melania looked great, leather pants are not known for their comfort. Melania must not have gotten the memo that pajamas sets are stylish now and make for great flying attire. It’s OK — she’s not the only one.
