#MermaidThighs are the latest body trend and we are loving it
Move over thigh gap, #mermaidthighs are the latest trend in town (and we hope it never leaves).
For those unfamiliar with the former, thigh gaps were a weird and worrying social measurement of skinniness. If you placed your feet together and your thighs didn’t touch, you were apparently deemed thin enough, which makes no sense since the gap was more a product of one’s bone structure as opposed to thigh fat.
Models like Iskra Lawrence have even proved that the glamorous #fitspo shots on Instagram are the result of good lighting and angles.
Unlike the thigh gap, #mermaidthighs are about embracing your natural curves even if you don’t have thighs like chopsticks.

Whether you have a natural thigh gap or mermaid thighs, why not celebrate it instead of trying to change it like these fierce ladies. After all…
