Miley Cyrus is giving us the first look at her upcoming Pride concert special, Miley Cyrus Presents Stand by You, which comes out this Friday, June 25, on NBC's streaming app, Peacock. Of course, we're not only looking forward to the musical performances and guest artists (which include Marren Morris, Orville Peck, and more). We're also looking forward to the campy fashion that seems to be stealing the show in the teasers that the artist has shared.
The musical celebration was filmed at a packed (and most likely vaxxed) Ryman Auditorium, a legendary music venue in the country capital, Nashville, Tennessee. And in true Cyrus style, she's going over-the-top with her fashion choices and staying on theme with glitter, feathers, sequins, and rainbows. Did we expect anything less? After all, Cyrus is known for committing to fashion especially on stage.
One look the singer showed off in the promos is a sleeveless Gucci dress with a lace bodice and a long, sequin rainbow skirt that she paired with sequin gloves. At one point during the teaser, Cyrus addresses the crowd saying, "I'm gonna keep fighting for us, for our community that we treasure and hold so dear - and while I do it, Imma be in Gucci." That's the spirit.
She also gave us a look at some other outfits, which include a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture multi-colored feathery dress with a pink bowed belt at the waist, as well as an off-the-shoulder pink and black feather and sequin mini-dress and a long black strapless gown embellished with feathers at the top.
While we cannot wait for the music and celebration of love, we're also counting down the days for what's shaping up to be one of the biggest fashion spectacles of the summer.
