Caitlin Fitzgerald and Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki are one step closer to walking down the aisle. On Monday, Fitzgerald took to Instagram to share photos from her New Year’s Eve bachelorette bash in Aspen, Colo. The bride-to-be dressed braved the cold weather by dressing for the occasion in a winter-white ensemble complete with oversize sunglasses and fuzzy white toque.

"The girlies take on Aspen part 1," Fitzgerald captioned her carousel of photos.

The post earned well wishes from friends who couldn't get enough of Fitzgerald's bachelorette getaway.

"Stunning bride-to-be," wrote Paola Anderson, wife of Montreal Canadiens player Josh Anderson.

"The easiest person to celebrate," wrote a friend.

"My favourite era of you," another pal said. "Best to ever do it."

Fitzgerald shared photos and videos to Instagram stories of her "Last toast on the slopes"-themed bachelorette party that included champagne, an elaborate balloon installation by luxury bachelorette planing service Bach to Basics, matching snowsuits and cut-outs of Suzuki.

In a separate post, Fitzgerald shared photos of her bridal party shopping in Aspen in western-themed attire.

Fitzgerald and Suzuki, both 25, got engaged in April 2024 after dating for more than six years. The couple announced their plans to tie the knot with a shared Instagram post that featured images from Suzuki's proposal in Dominican Republic, including photos of Fitzgerald's oval-cut engagement ring with diamond encrusted band.

In February 2024, Fitzgerald spoke to the Canadiens website and shared details of her relationship with Suzuki.

"We’re both from London, Ont... We kind of just knew each other through mutual friends. He had been living out of town playing hockey, but we just kind of connected at the time – 2016 or 2017 – on Instagram and Snapchat, and the rest is history," she revealed.

She swooned over Suzuki's personal qualities, saying, "He’s super compassionate. He’s super easy to get along with. There are a lot of things about him all in one realm."

"I think his demeanour in general is something that is one of his greatest qualities," she added. "Anything you throw at him, any stressful situation, any bad situation, he always knows how to handle everything, and he does it calmly."
