This Is The Most Popular Super Bowl App In Your State
On any given day, appetizers are a not-so-integral meal addition, but on Super Bowl Sunday, apps reign supreme. And to show just how snacky America is on Game Day, Google Trends has created a map that shows the most popular dips across the country.
Given how fiery Super Bowl spreads can be, it's no surprise that the most popular overall is Buffalo Chicken Dip. The appetizer nearly swept the Northeast, securing the #1 spot in New York, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
Also, we'd like to take this time to ask Vermont if they're okay. Despite the fact that Vermont is beloved for its creamy cheddar cheese, Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Dip somehow managed to nab the title of the most popular Game Day dip in the state. Cheddar cheese deserves so much better.
Speaking of cheese, it's pretty popular across the board—especially the combo of meat and cheese. In states like California and Idaho, the top pick is Philly Cheesesteak Dip. Arizona is on a similarly cheesy path with Cheeseburger Dip.
In the Southeast, Cheese Dip is the app of choice for Alabama, Tennessee, and Arkansas. The state of Georgia isn't too far behind with Mexican Cheese Dip. And Wisconsin must have found inspiration from the Super Bowl host city of New Orleans because their most popular dip is Cajun Dip.
Google Trends also rounded up the most popular chicken wing flavors and styles. While buffalo is tops, there is quite a lot of variety compared to the most popular dips — like Florida with its French Onion Dip Wings and New Hampshire with its Honey Dijon Wings.
And with all that snacking, you're bound to work up a thirst. If you need some boozy inspo, theses are the top searched Super Bowl cocktail recipes in the United States:
Jungle Juice
Margarita
Sazerac Cocktail
Mojito
Long Island Iced Tea
Whiskey Sour
Moscow Mule
