These Are the Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S., According to OpenTable

It's February, so there's plenty of love in the air. If you would like to show your love through food, then OpenTable has a list for you.

Each year, the restaurant reservation platform shares its top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants list. But before we get into the list, we want to share OpenTable's findings from the company's latest survey, which shows that this year's Valentine's Day celebrations will "break all the rules."

"According to a survey commissioned by OpenTable, Valentine's Day dining is undergoing a dramatic shift, as singles and group celebrations redefine the traditionally couple-focused holiday," the company shared in an announcement. "The data shows a remarkable 61 percent of singles are willing to dine out for a first date on Feb. 14, while 51 percent of all diners are considering double dates."

As the survey also noted, there's a massive surge in group dining for "Galentine's Day" this year, showing that love can be romantic, for friends, or anything you wish.

"Valentine's Day dining has gone through a major vibe shift over the years, and this year sees a continuation of that, with couples, double dates, and groups of friends planning to dine out for the occasion," Robin Chiang, the chief growth officer of OpenTable, shared in a statement. "Between OpenTable's breadth of restaurants and resources, there's something for everyone – from fine dining to the cozy neighborhood Italian spot – and our annual Top 100 Romantic Restaurants list and curated guides are great places to start."

As for the list, OpenTable explains that it's compiled by "analyzing more than 10 million diner reviews, along with diner ratings, reservation demand, percentage of five-star reviews, among other factors" to ensure you have the most romantic time possible.

It added that California absolutely dominated this year's list with 11 mentions, including 71Above in Los Angeles, FARM in Palm Springs, and Gary Danko in San Francisco. Other notables include Angelina's Ristorante in Bonita Springs, Florida, Canoe in Atlanta, Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt Kauai, The Northport Hotel in Northport, New York, and The River Cafe in Brooklyn.
