The "ugly" shoes are so comfy.

When it comes to buying new shoes, I tend to prioritize style over comfort. I don’t mind powering through the pain of a stiletto if it means my outfit will go from good to great. But lately, I’ve been filling up my closet with polarizing shoes. First, snagging Hokas’s famous running shoes, and now, my latest prized possession: Bearpaw’s cozy platform clogs.
Bearpaw Martis Hickory Clogs
I’ll admit, I always thought the fuzzy, slipper-like shoes looked ridiculously ugly. From the massively cartoonish shape to the crinkled outsole, I just couldn’t fathom owning a pair. Not to mention, clogs are typically considered the “ugly” shoes. However, after seeing how stylish a mom friend looked with the slip-on style (wearing them with cuffed wide-leg jeans and a chic sweater), I decided to take them for a spin.
I’m so glad I was #influenced, because my light brown Bearpaw Martis Clogs are my new go-tos for everyday wear. For one, they pair well with everything. From matching lounge sets and denim jeans to even sweater dresses (yes, really!), I can easily slip them on with any outfit and head out the door in seconds.
In addition to being versatile, they’re as cozy as they look. The Bearpaw Martis Hickory Clogs feature a soft suede upper (which is already treated with the brand’s rain and stain repellent), a stylish trim pattern for added flair, and a wool blend lining to keep your feet extra warm and comfortable. The design detail that I love the most is that the back of the shoes are slightly raised above the heel to keep your foot from slipping out. And despite the chunky platform, they’re light as air—it’s like walking on clouds.

I’m not the only one who has officially converted to loving these Bearpaw’s. One shopper, who said they had “never owned” a clog, called them “so cute.” Adding, “I feel presentable without looking too relaxed [and] never have to sacrifice my comfort. Another reviewer admitted “they have lived up to the hype,” while a finer shopper said they’re a “comfort haven with their plush lining.”
