The 90 Day Fiancé alumni are not so single this time on 90 Day: The Single Life.

Season 5 of the TLC spinoff introduced some of the “singles” last week — which just means they’re no longer dating the love interest they came on the show with in the first place.

Monday night’s highlights included an update on Veronica Rodriguez’s relationship with Kim Menzies’ son Jamal, as well as Tyray Mollett’s first-ever date.

For Veronica and Jamal, they’ve finally decided to make things exclusive after their “situationship” played out on screen. Long distance has turned into a lot of coast-to-coast sleepovers. We’ve been traveling back and forth between San Diego and Charlotte,” she said of their long-distance connection. “I’m definitely still concerned about what the future holds. He’s not a great communicator, and that’s the only way this is gonna work.”

Jamal countered that he’s just not a big texter. “I don’t think we have to talk 24/7. Cause then it’s like what are we gonna keep talking about,” he told his girlfriend on the show.

To cameras, Jamal explained why he’s hesitant to be in constant contact. “I’m more of a face-to-face kind of person. That’s always been my vibe. When we’re here, we’re here. But Veronica takes it personally when I’m not available to her, and I can see maybe an insecurity of her overthinking ‘Oh, he doesn’t care to talk to me,’” he said. “But that’s never been the case.”

Veronica said she’ll need a little more if this love is going to last. “I want to settle down like forever forever with someone. And I just want things to keep going well for Jamal and my’s relationship. I think it’s worth the risk, but if he hurts me, you know, it could crush me.”

The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days alum wasn’t the only one who was nearly crushed on the episode. Tyray got all done up for his first date with Tiffany, which was also his first time on a date in general.

As he contemplated how to make the first move (explaining, “In my mind I think she should definitely make the first move, because she liked me first”), Tyray watched the clock tick... and tick — and tick —long past their 7 p.m. meeting time.

Tyray waited with roses for Tiffany to show up — but was stood up on his first date.

“I don’t want to immediately think that she stood me up but ... it’s a lot emotionally. I’m a little worried she won’t show up,” he said. When Tyray tried to call Tiffany, her phone went straight to voicemail, and she didn’t answer any of his texts.

It took a full hour for Tyray to realize she wasn’t coming. “It feels terrible waiting for Tiffany this long,” he said. “It’s definitely giving me vibes of when I went to meet Carmella when I was in Barbados. And it hurts me.”

Tyray concluded, “For this to happen on my first date, it’s kind of like... damn. Is it me?”

His server shared her own feelings about the disappointing date, telling cameras: “The entire time I was watching him and just praying that someone was gonna come through that door. He seemed very excited when he arrived. I feel so bad for him to the point where I just wanted to sit down and be his date.”
