The annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an unofficial holiday for fans of the brand. After all, the massive savings event offers deep discounts on a range of products, including cult favorites and just-released merchandise from popular brands like Barefoot Dreams, Birkenstock, Zella, Spanx, Charlotte Tilbury and more. Dubbed “the biggest fashion event of the year,” it’s a great time to stock up on clothes, shoes, accessories, beauty products and home goods for yourself, along with gifts for others at jaw-droppingly low prices you won’t see during any other time of year.

When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially starts on Monday, July 15, with price cuts on a huge range of merchandise, and runs through Monday, August 5. But Nordstrom cardmembers, who also belong to the brand’s Nordy Club, get what’s known as Early Access to the savings.
Early Access varies depending on your level of Nordy Club membership, which is dictated by how much you spend during the year. “Icons” can shop as early as Tuesday, July 9, giving them a huge head start on the savings. “Ambassadors” are able to start saving on Wednesday, July 10, while “Influencers” (which is the level everyone starts at) can shop starting Thursday, July 11.
Don’t have a Nordstrom card? It’s a good idea to sign up ASAP. Again, only Nordstrom cardmembers get early access to the savings, and the sale's most popular items tend to sell out fast.
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a huge savings event that some people wait for all year. It's different than other Nordstrom sales because it offers brand-new, just-released items at sale prices instead of discounts on older items. You'll find rare discounts (our favorite!) on some of the biggest fashion, beauty and home brands on the market. It's a great time to shop for fall and winter merchandise at reduced prices as well as score deals on trendy new arrivals and everyday essentials.
What type of products will be on sale at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Nordstrom puts a ton of must-have merchandise on sale — think clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products and home goods. There are items for men, women and kids so you can shop for every member of your family.
While you can find apparel and goods for just about any time of year, the sale has a big emphasis on fall and winter collections. Brands to look out for include Zella, Barefoot Dreams, Good American, Stuart Weitzman, Nike, Birkenstock, Charlotte Tilbury, Le Creuset, Free People, Tory Burch and more. In the past, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has offered major deals on brands that don't typically go on sale — we expect the same for this year.
What should you stock up on at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Everything! Start with high-fashion items you've had your eye on but may have been too pricey — this is your time to pick up designer goods (think handbags, shoes and accessories from luxury brands) that are rarely discounted. Essentials like basic T-shirts, bathing suits, transitional jackets, sneakers and socks are also on our list.
And don’t forget beauty must-haves, too. In the past, we've spotted some of our favorite anti-aging moisturizers, high-end makeup and must-have fragrances at amazing prices during the sale. You should also keep an eye out for deeply discounted home goods like cookware and bedding.
How can I get the best deals at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
If you’re not already a Nordstrom cardmember, it’s a good idea to change that in advance of the sale. You can apply for a card right now and earn perks like two points per dollar you put on your card, an $80 bonus note to use on future purchases and, of course, early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Deals on must-have products typically sell out fast, so being a cardmember definitely gives you a leg up.
If you plan to shop on your phone, it’s also a good idea to download the Nordstrom app to make it easier to scroll through selections and redeem the rewards you earn by shopping with Nordstrom. You can even set up push notifications to let you know when hot items are on sale, as well as when certain products are back in stock.
A preview for the sale drops on Thursday, June 27. Once the sale items are up, Nordstrom lets you create a "Wish List," so you can do a quick checkout once you’re granted access. (Heads up: Putting things on your "Wish List" won’t guarantee they’ll be in stock when you’re ready to shop, but it can make the process of buying them a lot easier.)

Technically, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale doesn’t start until July 9 (for select cardmembers) and July 15 for the general public.
