One of the Best Private High Schools in America is in the Bronx

Phillips Academy, in Andover, Massachusetts, beat out more than 3,000 other schools to be ranked the best private high school in America for the second consecutive year.

In order to rank the top private secondary schools across the country, Niche, a company that specializes in data on educational institutions, crunched the numbers across multiple categories: "SAT/ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, private school ratings, and more," with "data sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users, and the schools directly."
