Over-eating or under-eating these 10 foods could kill you, study says

If your average breakfast is a plate of bacon of eggs or if you regularly enjoy a good steak (hopefully one that’s not well done and smothered in ketchup), we have bad news.

A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that over-consumption of processed foods rich in salt and sugary drinks contributes to almost half of all U.S deaths from heart disease, stroke and diabetes. A rather shocking statistic considering that this is something preventable.

The “bad” foods included processed meats like bacon, bologna and hot dogs, red meat such as steaks and hamburgers and sugary drinks.

Aside from over eating unhealthy food, the study also found that underrating healthy food, like fruits and vegetables, seafood and nuts and seeds, compounded the problem.
