Parents Magazine's editor-in-chief has simple advice for any new parent

Today, more than ever, adults are avoiding becoming parents.

Along with the already burdensome burden of raising a child, there are incessantly increasing child care costs, retail expenses, and self-career goals that can be deterrents to both men and women from starting a family.

Parents Magazine Editor-in-Chief Liz Vaccariello uses her platform to advance important steps to take as a parent to develop a child’s life. As for advice that all parents can use, it’s pretty simple:

“Drop the idea of perfection and just parent from a place of love,” Vaccariello told Yahoo Finance in the video above. “This life stage is unique, often lonely, and filled with stress as much as joy.”

What is essential for parents to know, according to Vaccariello, is that there is no one right way to bring up their a kid and you are not alone.

“One of the joys of my job at Parents Magazine is this idea that we are connecting moms,” Vaccariello said.
