Pascal Siakam surprises his family with new home on Mother's Day

Mother's Day is not meant to be a competition, but Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam and his mother, Victorie, were the real winners on Sunday.

Siakam purchased a new home for his family and surprised his mother by greeting her from inside the new place and delivering the good news.

"This is our house!" Pascal exclaimed as his mother opened the front door.

Alternating between English and French, Siakam explained that in the absence of a family home after his father died, buying a new house for his family was the right thing to do. Siakam's father, Tchamo, died in a car accident in October 2014.

"Happy birthday and happy Mother’s Day to the Queen herself! Thank you for always being there for all of us and being the super mom you are," Siakam wrote.

"With dad being gone we haven’t been able to call a place home and it was always my dream to change that! 🏡Feeling blessed that I can offer this to you and our family. Can’t wait to make new memories there as a family!"

Siakam's past and current teammates were impressed too, with Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, Norman Powell, Danny Green and Delon Wright among others giving the 27-year-old daps for his new purchase.

It's a pretty awesome move by Siakam to continue to provide for his family, and though Sunday was an off day for the Raptors, Spicy P and his family were the clear, unmatched winners.
